japanese pop culture hits culver city in a most extreme fashion. the otaku americans finally have a place to feel at home in. Royal/T takes precedent as the first "cosplay" cafe in LA. cosplay is one of the many intriguing subcultures in japan where people are dressed in lolita and french maid costumes...all the time! it's particularly popular among the tech.geek.manga.freak community (no offense, i'm just SAYING). the culver city location triples as a cafe, art gallery, and playful shop full of pop culture rinkydinks. and if they did it right, i'm sure you'll feel like you stepped into an episode of sailor moon. if you wanna do it up real deal tokyo flavor, this is the spot.
