Wonder Wall

we went to space 15 twenty yesterday to gawk at the gigantic urinal inside the ALIFE store, try on some vintage luxury, ogle at spring sandals, and flip through glossy coffee table books. i spent a good minute looking at Masamichi Katayama's books, an interior designer whose work i've been following for years. i'm a huge fan of his minimalist style and use of light. there's a bit of irony in his work; what i'd describe as a sort of "over the top minimalism". he's best known for his work with Nigo and BAPE, but he's done countless more creative retail spaces that are just as eyegrabbing and innovative. i sosuperneed the wonderwall books on my shelf.
