Pho and Updates. Pho-pdates.

Mmmm the pho from Pho Cafe. I eat there so often, this one employee says "see you next week" when I get up to leave. It's embarassing and endearing all at the same time. But who cares; I gotta have my Vietnamese food! I took TK and Mark there last week for a catch up date. Those two entrepreneurial stallions are a constant inspiration in my life, and they live so close by too.
I won't be having my usual pho with rare steak and tendons for awhile, becauuuuuuse: I am going pescatarian for Lent! That means no meat except for seafood. I sort of decided late (my bad!), but I finalized my decision yesterday, so I'll extend my Lenten promise an extra 11 days to make up for lost time.
As much as I enjoy bacon, a good steak, or moreover an irresistable pork broth, I also love vegetarian and vegan cuisine. And my neighborhood is full of delicious vegetarian/vegan options so I don't think it will be TOOOO bad. I think what I'll miss the most is RAMEN. :( I'll have to try vegetarian ramen before being absolutely sure, but I'm almost positive that there is no way to avoid the hearty broth without sacrificing 2000% of the flavor.
In other news, I've started a Tumblr page, and the only way I've been able to distinguish it from this blog is that my tumblr is a photo stream of style consciousness, no words, just images. This can otherwise be described as "shit I inexplicably like".
