Mozza Pizzeria
Mario Batali & Nancy Silverton's love child, Mozza, has been a favorite of mine for some time now. But of all of the times I have chomped on a slice of pizza, held a spoonful of the caramel budino to my lips, or jabbed my fork into a piece of grilled octopus, never have I ever photo documented a Mozza meal. Maybe the food doesn't stay on the table long enough to photograph, it's that good. That, and I tend to go there for dinner when the lighting is less than adequate to highlight the mouth-watering glory of the dishes.
But the other day I went to the pizzeria for lunch, and managed my appetite long enough to take pictures of my go-to items on the menu.
Nancy's Chopped Salad.
Bone Marrow.
Clam Pizzette. note: While this pizza is delicious, my favorite is still the Funghi Misti.
A couple of years ago, you couldn't get a table at either the Pizzeria Mozza nor Osteria Mozza without reserving at least 1 month in advance. I think it might be easier to do so now, especially with the brilliant addition of the Mozza2Go pick up window. This is great for people like me, who need a Mozza fix but don't want to miss the Keeping Up with the Kardashians all-day marathon. The bone marrow is not available for pick up, so I sub in the white bean bruschetta.
