The Never Oversleep Again Giveaway with Moxsie

If you know me, or have even just seen a photo of me, you know immediately that I have my Blackberry in my hand 98,000% of my waking life. And the .0002% of my life that it is not in my hand usually means I have dropped it and am in the process of picking it up of the floor. Having dropped it more than any Blackberry deserves, my smart phone decided to get smart ass on me and it now chooses if it wants to wake me up in the morning. Sometimes it may feel like letting my alarm go off, sometimes ehhh not so much. Its rebellious behavior has left me many a time in a panic, rushing to work an hour late still wearing parts of my pajama ensemble. Imagine showing up to work with full on bed head and explaining to your boss that your phone is possessed.

Now meet Clocky. Hearing of my alarm clock troubles, the beautiful people over at e-tailer Moxsie sent me this little guy to help me get my day started right, in hopes that I never oversleep again.

Clocky goes off without failure, and allows you to press the snooze button just once before it jumps off of your nightstand and rolls around your room wailing at full volume, forcing you to chase it down and turn it off...and what do you know? YOU'RE AWAKE.

Clocky is so cool, that Moxsie and I want to giveaway a Clocky to one of my readers!

To enter this giveaway contest, all you do is:

1. Leave a comment below and tell me what you do to wake up on time in the morning. Cell phone alarm? A certain radio station? A series of alarms and a certain amount of snoozes? I want to know!

2. Check back in on Friday, July 16 at 12pm PST! I will announce the winner here and on my twitter!

I set my bberry to the most obnoxious song possible and snooze roughly 1,345,287 times before actually getting up.

I have an alarm, but before I actually get up, I have to hit snooze 5 times. Naturally, this has led to me setting the initial alarm about an hour earlier than when I need to get up...this has not been a good thing for dudeguy. LOL.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks Sam!!

i use my cell phone, set it to a different tune every night, and place it next to me. i hear it every morning, but i always make the mistake of shutting it off instead of snoozing haha.

I use a cell phone with an obnoxiously loud, upbeat alarm that isn't too annoying but also isn't too catchy. It's haunting having to wake up to your favorite songs and starting to loathe it!

I am naturally a heavy sleeper. What takes an "average" person one alarm to wake them up, takes me about 5 different alarms to actually get me out of bed and awake. To prevent myself from over sleeping, I'll set about 2 or 3 different alarm schedules on my phone, 1 on my ipod that I have the headphones attached to my ears from the night before, and usually a roommate or several to come knock on my door to make sure that i am UP. I separate the time differences between all my alarms by 5 minutes, but honestly, if I'm fast asleep I won't hear anything until my roommate comes knocking on my door.

Thanks Sam! Love love love your blog!

i set my blackberry alarm an hour before i really have to get up so i can snooze about 10 times. it's definitely let me snooze more than that a few times which causes me to rush in the morning too. this moxsie clocky looks awesome. i will never oversleep with one of these! love your blog sam! xoxo

My crackberry also wakes me up. I always snooze 3 times and thank God for the days I don't have to set an alarm!

Man alive I NEED to win this Clocky - I love this product, seriously! Invented by a girl at MIT who could never wake up for class? Love it!

I wake up to my blackberry too and I hit snooze too many times. If I got the clocky my snooze days would be over and I'd always be on time or better yet early. Hooray!

omg someone once told me about such an alarm!

my alarm clock allows for 2 time settings so i set one at 2 hours before the time i need to leave my place and then another one for 30 minutes later. i snooze through both of them for about an hour (sometimes more). and sometimes i accidentally hit the off button instead of snooze which causes me to oversleep.

I set two alarms. I have one alarm that my father gave me and my trusty Blackberry. The alarm clock my dad gave me goes off in the morning, but I always fail to wake up to it so I always set my BB. I usually wake up to my BB then let it rest on my chest till I gather the strength to roll out of bed and off to work. On days when I am feeling extra tired, I'll wake up with my BB on my chest wondering why my BB is there and why I am let for work :-/ My mornings could use a little more motivation.

I'm quite the disciplined person, but being in nursing school and working means lots to do and very little sleep! Sometimes I only get an hour or two and have to get up at 5 in the morning to drive to clinical to keep people alive.

So! To ensure that I wake up, I keep the lights on to trick myself not to fall into the depths of deep sleep. I also set my alarm clock from the early 90s with the radio as a wake up warning, set my cell phone alarm 10 minutes later as the definite wake up time, and set the piercingly scary siren of the 90s alarm clock as a fall back plan, and if I'm really worried about failing to wake, I set a calendar event on my phone that says, "Wake up!" Multiple mechanisms to achieve the same goal! but it's a lot to keep track of o.O

p.s. Thanks for providing this contest, (sosuper)Sam and Moxie! :D

I wake up in the morning-scratch that-afternoon after 3, not one, not two, but exactly three different alarms with three different ringtones. I HAVE to use my iphone (which is no longer in service, so i guess it's an itouch as of now?) or I won't wake up. The three songs that are set as my alarm are loud korean club songs with deep, ear-throttling base. My final alarm is the loudest, and it's the chorus to "Please Don't Go" by 2NE1. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z51FmS8GmEk)

Maybe it is about time I have a clocky of my own? <3

Thanks!

I use my cell phone on the most obnoxious ring tone. The one that gets progressively louder and louder the more you ignore it. After hitting "snooze" 3-4 times usually the obnoxious cell phone alarm has awaken my husband and he manages to get me up. I use to use 2 alarms, one bedside and the other a little hidden in my closet. That way the ringing in the closet would get so loud and annoying I'd have to get up, cross the room, dig in my closet to shut it off. Most of the time this would totally wake me up.

I use my blackberry, I set the alarm to the loudest song I have and put it in bed next to me. When it goes off in the morning I find the phone has moved somewhere else, it's so loud and I'm looking for it. Then I realize ok I'm awake, I just got to find this thing and shut it off.

I always set my cell phone alarm.I actually found out today that the cell phone on my nighttable next to the telephone and my clock radio causes a noise that keeps waking me up all night so I could REALLY use a clocky which I cannot afford to buy
Thank you

I usually use my cell phone and set all the alarms about 3-5 minutes apart because sometimes I forget to hit snooze and accidentally just dismiss my alarm.

I have two ways of waking up... Either through an alarm on my cellphone that has the sound of a fire truck siren or my digital alarm clock that's super loud that my neighbors can hear it (true story). Sadly, the noise just get drowned in my sleep. I sleep like a log and it's so easy to press the snooze button when the alarm is dormant.... Even if I have to get up to reach for the snooze button... I just go right back to bed :(. It'll definitely help if it's moving haha.

Anyway thank you for hosting this give away. Awesome blog btw! Oh and I'm following you on twitter too!

Once I'm up, I'm up except it takes a cell phone alarm, radio alarm clock, and most likely a push.

Every single morning I over sleep. Without fail, always late. Either my stupid phone doesn't wake me up (I dropped it in the toilet a few months ago, hasn't been the same since) or I just don't hear it. Clocky would be a wonderful thing for me,as well as amusing. It'll definitely scare the shit out of my cats. I'll send you a video :)

I usually ask my Mom to call me up. She calls every five min till I am finally up, but sometimes I just tell her that I am up and go back to sleep.

If I have an important appointment, class or a flight to catch, I usually don't sleep at all for the mere fear of not getting up in time.

Cell Phone alarms are never audible to me as they r usually good music, I enjoy them in sleep :P

My husband sets his bb. I set my bb for him. After he wakes up I change it to my time but when waking up @ 3 or 4 am for his sometimes I forget to set mine for 615am and needless to say am late and rushing. JOY!

My iphone is possessed also. She's been pretty upset with me since I accidentally dropped her in the sink & quite frankly, I believe she needs to stop PMSing! Due to my iPhone being unreliable I bought a cheap alarm clock, total of $6.98 from my funds. Its a portable black alarm clock that's sucks the battery life of my poor AAA batteries. I can go through a pack in one week! So this alarm will be a gift that will help me wake up & get some cardio! Kill two birds with one stone! So please pick me,
Please, please, please!

i have a small battery-powered Muji alarm that i have apparently grown too accustom to since i don't hear it in the mornings anymore on subsequent alarms once i snooze it. i chose the battery old-school clock since 1) it won't fail during a power outage and 2) there isn't a bright light being emitted from it to interrupt my efforts toward slumber.

i also have 3 different alarms set on my phone: one at the same time as my normal alarm clock, and two more as my waking up becomes more crucial. they all have different songs playing, indicating levels of crucial-ness.

if it's especially imperative that i wake up by a certain hour, i will leave my computer on, plugged into my speakers, with an itunes alarm set to blast at the hour of my choosing. so if i have to get up at 5 to catch a flight at 7, it's going to be The Clash or Gucci Mane blaring in my room before the sun rises. as you might suspect, i actually hear this alarm, i.e. it works pretty effectively; it's just not all too considerate of other people...

Extra Credit: I'll sleep on top of the sheets/bedding with no blankets to make myself even more apt to waking up, as compared to when it's burrito time and no one shall extract me from the comfort of my barrier.

I have a dual alarm clock that I set two alarms, one at 7:30am, the second at 8:00am...after those go off I have my ipod that starts the jams at 8:15. Usually upbeat stuff...right now, Rob Base "It takes two"!
